Where It All Started

No Go Coffee Co. began in a small rural kitchen in North Gower, Ontario. Karin Rabuka’s dream to one day open a cafe, led her on a quest for knowledge of coffee and coffee roasting. What happened next was small batch roasting and a lot of coffee testing and tasting…which led to a demand from friends and family for amazing fresh coffee! A tiny roaster wouldn’t do anymore.

Eventually a larger roaster was purchased and a wholesale business began. The local grocery store and the North Gower Farmer’s Market welcomed No Go to their roster and the coffee business grew.

Karin Rabuka was born in Nova Scotia and grew up there, in Ottawa and in Toronto. She attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo and has been a practicing artist since. Her need to be creative has been an asset to No Go Coffee Co., always looking for creative ways to produce and market her roasts and to create a great coffee experience!

No Go Coffee is striving to be eco-friendly and have taken measures to package the product in compostable bags, transport it in reusable boxes and use an eco-conscious roaster with extremely low emissions. All coffees are fair trade, organic, and roasted weekly in a new rural facility in Kemptville, ON – just down the road from North Gower.

“No Go Coffee has been one of my go-to places…”

…for connecting with both friends and colleagues, whether it’s the coffee truck (that I will go out of my way to pay a visit to) or holding staff meetings at the Roastery. The No Go Team are knowledgeable and friendly and the coffee is the best! The No Go truck is an appreciated feature of life in the South Ottawa / North Grenville area, seeming to magically appear wherever “community” is happening.

Our Values

We Strive To Be As Eco-Conscious As Possible

No Go Coffee values connection and community with others, and strives to make personal connection with our customers a priority. It is why we started the business and never want to lose that! The people that buy No Go Coffee are the reason it all began.

Supporting our local community is a huge value to us through purchasing most things for the business from local and handmade sources. Baking from local bakeries, and merch from local suppliers are just a few examples of what we buy.

We strive to be as eco-conscious as possible. We have an afterburner on our roaster that burns much of the smoke emissions during the roasting process. We bag our coffee in compostable bags and use compostable packaging as much as we can. We transport our coffee is reusable containers. Our coffee is fair trade, and organic.

No Go Coffee also values the highest quality ingredients and coffee beans we can use. Taste matters to us as does the source it comes from.
